Hot 26X2

This yoga class — offered OUTDOORS one weekend day in Spring, Summer, and Fall as the weather allows — is a moving meditation based on the Bikram series of 26 postures, practiced in two sets. When we can practice outside, we do so on the front lawn of Bradford Elementary School. For more information about Hot 26 yoga classes I teach indoors (in a humid environment at 106 degrees), go to the “LIVE, In-Studio” classes section of the website. Though rigorous, this class (indoors or outside) is meant for ALL levels, from the more experienced practitioner to the beginner.

What you’ll need for outdoor class:

  • Yoga mat

  • Yoga mat towel or hand towel in case you sweat

  • Water to sip

  • Sunblock if outside

  • Extra clothing for outside practice, in case the practice starts out chilly

Helpful hints:

I recommend trying to take a hot shower before class to loosen up your muscles. You might wear layers of yoga clothing that can be peeled off as you begin to warm up. The Hot 26X2 class is usually practiced in a room heated to 106 degrees, but we will work with the great outdoors. As the summer temperatures climb and there’s more humidity in the air, you will find that the outdoor practice is likely to make you sweat. Prepare by hydrating before class to prevent cramping muscles and dizziness.

SATURDAY — OUTDOOR “Hot” 26X2 Yoga Class - 12:00 Noon - For Spring, Summer, and Fall months, this class is OUTSIDE @ Bradford Elementary School front lawn, weather permitting.

I teach indoor classes almost every day of the week at Juniper Yoga + Fitness in Upper Montclair (www.JuniperYogaFitness.com) or ZURA Blooms in Bloomfield (www.ZURABlooms.com).

*A $10 donation for class via Venmo (@Cassie-Bollinger1) or Zelle (payment through email: cbollinger42@gmail.com or cell # 973-632-6369) is suggested but never required. No need to RSVP, just show up on the Bradford front lawn if weather permits. See you on the mat!
