Yin Yoga

Like a slow medicine, Yin Yoga is a slow-paced meditation that focuses on the the deep connective tissues and joints of the body. You will move through most of the postures either seated or lying down on your yoga mat. The playlists I prepare for classes (accessed via Spotify: “Cassandra Bollinger”) provide a quiet, soothing accompaniment to your experience. Practicing this type of yoga will help you find space in your body and mind…a perfect antidote to the physical and mental stresses of life.

What you’ll need for class:

  • Yoga mat

  • 2 yoga blocks - cork or foam (or 2 stacks of books) on which to rest/support parts of your body in some postures

  • 2 yoga blankets (or any kind of throw blankets or large bath/beach towels)

  • Bolster (or firm bed/couch pillow wrapped in blanket or towel) to support the body, arms or legs for some postures

  • Device to play the prepared Spotify playlist or a low-blowing fan for background noise — or maybe you just prefer silence as background while I gently guide you through the postures with my voice

  • Water to sip

WEDNESDAY — Virtual Yin Yoga Class - 7:30PM

*A $10 donation for class via Venmo (@Cassie-Bollinger1) is suggested but never required.
